Meet Dr. TJ Kennedy
Dr. Kennedy’s journey into health care was driven by a deep-rooted passion for helping people and collaborating with others. Initially exploring various paths as an EMT/ firefighter and nursing during high school and going into college, his career trajectory shifted following a significant event.
At 18, while a competitive gymnast, he flipped off the rings and hit the floor, sustaining a severe back injury. While Dr. Kennedy didn’t initially experience severe pain, as the weeks went on, it got to the point where he could barely walk. “I walked like I was 80 years old at 18. Any sharp or fast movements would cause excruciating pain.”
Eventually, Dr. Kennedy’s massage therapist, who was trying to help him, recommended that he go to a chiropractor. After getting worked on for about a month, she got Dr. Kennedy ready for nationals. He ended up competing and placing fourth on vault. That experience solidified his decision to become a chiropractor.

Chiropractic Education & Areas of Interest
Dr. Kennedy pursued an undergraduate degree at Mizzou and a chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College. Committed to furthering his education, he obtained an SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) Level One certification, which equipped him with advanced skills to assist patients effectively.
Specializing in sports-oriented chiropractic care, Dr. Kennedy is keenly interested in working with athletes and individuals engaged in physical activities to enhance their performance and well-being.

Living a Balanced Life
Outside the practice, Dr. Kennedy enjoys an active lifestyle, playing various sports and engaging in other outdoor activities. He also likes to play video games in his spare time. Dr. Kennedy grew up in the Chicago suburbs and appreciates living and working in our less-congested area. His parents and brother all still live in Illinois.
